Whilst dense breasts are normal and common, dense breast tissue makes it more difficult for radiologists to detect cancer on a mammogram. A growing number of medical organisations link to the DenseBreast-info.org website, including the EFRS (European Federation of Radiographer Societies) and the Society of Radiographers.
