The new Magnetic Resonance (MR) Safety Implant/Foreign Body Procedures of the Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology (Diagnostic Imaging) subsection of the CPT code book contains the codes and the guidelines for reporting them. Medicare has not yet recognized these new codes, although other payers might possibly reimburse them.
