christine.book Fri, 07/19/2024 - 09:04 July 19, 2024 — Core tactics to address the current medicalimaging and radiation therapy workforce shortage and build career pathways were offered in a new white paper from the Consensus Committee on the Future of MedicalImaging and Radiation Therapy.
"By not separating radiologist assistant reimbursement policies into different payment categories by service location, the adoption of MARCA would enable radiologists to devote more focused time to reviewing and interpreting complex medicalimages or urgent cases," the ASRT has said.
The research team is using the grant to analyze previous and current advanced practice radiation therapist (APRT) training programs internationally and to identify an evidence-based, best-practice framework for APRT education in the U.S. and Canada. The APRT role practices at an advanced level in radiation therapy.
